icronical is a community-based online tee shirt store whose aims are good and fun and wholesome. you come up with the content and your purchases benefit various charities and local artists from around the world. 10% of all proceeds go to charities that you choose in the checkout process.

well, if you really must know, it was a stifling January day in Buenos Aires. i was attempting to navigate the city with my poor sense of direction via Avenida Santa Fe when i saw a bespectacled dude wearing a very poorly illustrated blue Bruce Lee shirt. even in the crowd that filled the sidewalk, this stood out.

but, instead of Bruce Lee holding nunchucks and flying through the air in kick stance on this shirt, it looked as though he were merely reading a book in mid-air with his body horizontal. it was such a strange design - silly, unexpected, playful - and i said to myself, "what if you had an entire line of clothing that portrayed iconic figures ironically?"

then, the idea sat somewhere in my dome for about two months before completely taking over. i would say that during the entire month of March, icronical was at the forefront of my thoughts.

nope, you can place an order with or without a user account. if you do sign up for a user account (free and easy), you can create a profile, vote on submissions, participate in the forum, store your order history, and earn icronical credits!

buying shirts, submitting names, voting on names, commenting on designs, and name-dropping icronical across the interweb. if you mention icronical on facebook or twitter or myspace and send dan@icronical.com an accompanying link to verify, you will earn credit.

credit key: 20 credits per shirt purchase, 5 credits per icon name submission (one submission per week maximum), 1 credit per vote (seven votes per week maximum), 10 credits per name-drop on facebook or myspace or twitter (three per week maximum)

you can use icronical credits during the third step of the checkout process along with billing information. under "billing information", there is a section stating the amount of credits you have. each icronical credit is worth ten cents. in the field given, select the number of credits to apply to the order and click "apply". the amount of the icronical credits will be deducted from the order total. any unused points will remain in your account to be used in the future.
