just watched this wonderful, heartwarming film and was completely thrown off by a part in the last scene. someone has just given birth, so cigars are brought out to celebrate. the oldest male present rips down a no smoking sign from the hospital's waiting room and the men smoke their cigars. smoking cigars in a hospital! and, with a very happy vibe to accompany it. would that ever fly in current cinema? doubtful.

what do you call a piece of wood with nothing to do? board!

wore three shirts for the three days of lolla. a few compliments, a few confused faces, a few thumbs-ups. is that the plural for thumbs-up? hmm. also, is it expected mother, expectant mother, or expecting mother? riddle me that, icronical peeps.

why do elephants all have gray trunks? they all belong to the same swimming club!

if you only knew how much of a pain in the tushy the boxes of shirts are... currently, i am living in a small room in chicago, trying to organize. the site seems to be doing okay though, so that's great, considering it launched a day earlier than my programmer wanted/expected. all i need now is shelves or drawers or some kind of helpful storage piece...

what's the hardest thing about skydiving? the ground.

of course, a drama-filled experience. the site is supposed to be up, but, it ain't. my programmer, normally on top of things, mistook sunday for the first of august instead of today... wa wa waaa. oh well, worse things could happen, but i feel bad for the many people to whom i promoted august first. hopefully the site is up sooner rather than later and i don't lose people's interest.
